About the event
In recent years there is growing awareness of the value of reflective practice in fostering self-awareness in psychological clinical practice. In this interactive workshop specific interventions will be provided and reviewed in how to best set-up and conduct supervision applying reflective practice principles, with a focus on developing self-awareness and skill development of the psychologist. There will be opportunities for small group discussion and practice.
Topics include:
Theory and practice of reflective practice supervision
Reviewing core principles of reflective practice, including various models
How to create a mindful space for reflection using the supervisory working alliance
Experience vs expertise – considering how to assess the effectiveness of reflective practice and its influence on clinical practice
